Dr Rob Nichols
Dr Rob Nicholls is provides dispute resolution services in the telecommunications and information and communications technologies sectors. Rob is Australia’s first Independent Telecommunications Adjudicator in a regime established to deal with disputes arising over both legacy services and migration to the Australian National Broadband Network. Rob lectures in politics and is a researcher at UNSW Law investigating systematic risks in the structure and regulation of the finance sector.
Rob has had a thirty-year career concentrating on regulatory, business and technology strategy in networked industries, particularly telecommunications and broadcasting. He has published a large number of papers as well as book chapters and is the co-author of the Radiocommunications Commentary in Communications, Law and Policy. He holds an honours degree in Communications and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in regulatory matters from the University of New South Wales. Rob is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a practitioner member of LEADR. He completed his mediation accreditation at the Australian Commercial Dispute Centre.
