Sibylle Krieger

Sibylle Kriegerhas 35 years of broad commercial experience as a lawyer, company director and economic regulator. She was a partner of 2 major law firms for 22 years and held several management roles. She holds two degrees in law and has completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School. Sibylle spent 6 years as one of 3 Tribunal members on the principal NSW economic regulator (IPART).  She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sibylle is a non-executive director of the Australian Energy Markets Operator.  As the National Energy Market Operator and planner, AEMO operates the energy markets and systems and also delivers planning advice in eastern and south-eastern Australia. Sibylle is also a non-executive director of TasWater, the Statewide water and sewerage utility in Tasmania.  In addition she serves as a trustee of Sydney Grammar School and as a director of its Foundation.  In the past she has served as a non-executive director of Sydney Ports Corporation and Allconnex Water, and as a trustee of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust.  Prior to taking up her role as a director of AEMO, Sibylle carried out specialist dispute resolution work in the National Electricity and Gas markets.

Through her various roles Sibylle has extensive experience of working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams. She has experience of regulated industries, and understand the issues surrounding regulated infrastructure and infrastructure the subject of access undertakings.
